Chris's Story
The Director
Chris Hopper Is a Writer, Director and Producer from Seattle Wa. He began writing stories as a teenager and aspired to become a filmmaker at the age of 16. He has written a Collection of Poetry, ‘ Heritage Bridge to the Future’, and Three plays Including Reparations Play, The Black and Tan, and the soon to be released Clays Feet. He resides in Washington State.
Reparations Play Logline & Synopsis
Reparations play is a musical that explores Black History in the United States dating from the Transatlantic Slave trade to the modern Black Lives Matter movement. It’s told in 3 acts with mixed mediums including dramatic performance, music and Dance.
Third President Thomas Jefferson is haunted in purgatory by Ajamu-a shape shifting entity who determines along with the Judge- his fate, due to his failure to abolish Slavery during his presidency
